 Public works did an excellent job in trimming the brush around the STOP sign

ODOT improvement on HWY 101

Excellent thinking! This should make it very clear to every driver: Bicycles are LEGAL on bridge roadway

Munsel Creek Bike Path/Spruce Street crossing

The STOP signs are a good idea but please lower them so they are more visible for cyclists.


Answer from Public Works Director Mike Miller on June 14th 2011:
Typically post-top sign mounting height is the same as on a roadway (7-foot minimum) with the exception that it can be as low as 4-feet to the bottom of the sign. I prefer the 7-foot for ADA clearance in this case because someone with limited vision could wander off of the path. This is also the preference of our traffic engineer (Damien Gilbert with Branch) as well as others that I have worked with in the past.

Dangerous Storm Drains again II

Dangerous storm drains where reported a while ago. Some "adjustments" were done but please talk to your local cyclists if you don't know what you are doing.
We did not want bicycle stands!
This kind of stands are known as "wheel bender"
